11/18/86 <br />pnot2 <br />��_-- - - LR -Planning <br />RS/vh <br />ORDINANCE NO. 87- 7 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING <br />SECTION 25.1 REGULATIONS FOR SPECIFIC LAND USES -- <br />APPENDIX A OF THE CODE OF LAWS AND ORDINANCES OF INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, KNOWN AS THE ZONING CODE; <br />INCREASING. THE GROSS FLOOR AREA ALLOWED FOR DEPARTMENT <br />STORES, FURNITURE AND APPLIANCE SALES, SHOWROOM CATALOG <br />STORES AND VARIETY STORES FROM 5,000 TO 40,000 SQUARE <br />FEET IN THE CL, LIMITED COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; AND <br />PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF CONFLICTING PROVISIONS, <br />CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County, Florida, that: <br />SECTION 1 <br />Section 25.1 (j) (2) c.l. is hereby amended as follows: <br />Section 25.1 (j) General Merchandise sales. <br />(2) Department Store, furniture -and appliance sales, <br />showroom catalog stores and variety store <br />(Administrative Permit). <br />a. Districts requiring administrative permit: <br />department stores, furniture -and appliance sales, <br />showroom catalog stores and variety stores may be <br />allowed in the CL District upon receiving approval <br />as an administrative permit as provided in Section <br />25.2 and after meeting the requirements defined <br />below. <br />b. Additional information requirements: <br />1. A site plan meeting all requirements of section <br />23. <br />c. Criteria for department stores, furniture and <br />appliance sales, showroom catalog stores and <br />variety stores. <br />1. The total gross floor area of such <br />establishments shall not exceed f j -(O_ t)195,AAAA 1 <br />A%000Y forty thousand (40,000) square <br />feet. <br />SECTION 2 <br />REPEAL OF CONFLICTING PROVISIONS <br />All previous ordinances, resolutions, or motions of the <br />Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida <br />which conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby <br />repealed to the extent of such conflict. All Special Acts of the <br />legislature applying only to the unincorporated portion of Indian <br />River County and which conflict with the provisions of this <br />ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. <br />CODING: Words in WAOXl WO type are deletions from existing <br />law.
