Wheeler Aye <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA <br />By <br />Don C curlock, r <br />Chairman <br />Attest.By <br />Freda Wgi ghtC' <br />Clerk L? <br />DISCUSSION RE WINTER BEACH CEMETERY <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 1/7/87: <br />TO: The Board of County Commissioners <br />DATE: January 7, 1987 <br />SUBJECT: Winter Beach Cemetery <br />FROM: Bruce Barkett' <br />Assistant Cou ty Attorney <br />The Winter Beach Cemetery Association has asked to be put on <br />the agenda to discuss a prior dedication of property to the <br />association by the Board of County Commissioners. <br />The Kiwanis-Hobart Park area was dedicated to the County by <br />the State of Florida Department of Natural Resources which <br />in turn had acquired the property with a grant of federal <br />funds. The dedication to the County restricted use of -the <br />property for County park and public recreational purposes, <br />and contained a reverter clause at the option of the <br />Trustees in the event the area was used for other than park <br />and recreational purposes. (Trustees dedication attached as <br />Exhibit "A".) <br />In August, 1980, the Board of County Commissioners. executed <br />a dedication of a portion of the Hobart tract for cemetery <br />purposes and cemetery -related services. (See Exhibit "B" <br />attached.)
