Grimm <br />C/O 1835 20th Street <br />Vero Beach, Florida 32960 <br />Waterway & Location: The project is located along the eastern <br />bank of the Indian River, Section 16, Township 33 South, Range <br />40 East, Indian River County, Florida. The upland property <br />associated with the project is Lot 19, Seagrove West <br />Subdivision, located in the unincorporated portion of the <br />County. <br />Work & Purpose: The applicant proposes to construct a T-shaped <br />private residential dock with a 4' X 60' access pier and a 4' X <br />40' terminal platform (total square footage: 4001). The <br />project extends waterward approximately 55' to where water <br />depth equals approximately minus five (-5) feet. No sewage <br />pump -out of fueling facilities are proposed. No dredging or <br />filling will be performed. <br />ALTERNATIVES & ANALYSIS: <br />The Planning and Development Division reviews and submits <br />comments on dredge and fill applications to the permitting <br />agencies based upon the following: <br />The Conservation & Coastal Zoning Management Element of <br />the Indian River Comprehensive Plan - <br />Coastal Zone Man <br />Policies for the <br />ement, Interim Goals <br />reasure Coast Region <br />Objectives & <br />The Hutchinson Island Planning & Management Plan <br />The Indian River County Code of Laws and Ordinances <br />Chapter 18-20, Florida Administrative Code <br />County records indicate that a principal structure does not <br />presently exist on the subject property. Section 25.1(c)(7), <br />Appendix A, Zoning, of the Code ..of Laws and Ordinances of <br />Indian River County requires an administrative permit for docks <br />constructed prior to_the_co= truction of a principal single- <br />family dwelling unit. Also, if mangroves are to be altered in <br />association with the project, a County mangrove alteration <br />permit is required prior to construction. <br />8 <br />
