Balczun <br />C <br />ount ��i st-actor SUBJECT: <br />R p�B a �f''a'$s <br />County Engineer <br />FROM: <br />Mich lle A Terr <br />Public Hearing to consider <br />resolution providing for the <br />paving of: 1) 7th Court <br />2) 11th Street <br />3) 9th Drive <br />4) 21st Avenue <br />5) 6th Street <br />e y <br />Civil Engineer REFERENCES: <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Petitions have been received from property owners,;the following <br />streets: <br />1) 7th Court between 11th Street & 12th Street (Preliminary Cost <br />$15,653.43, 67% consent) <br />2) 11th Street between U.S. 1 & 6th Avenue (Preliminary Cost <br />$30,787.04, 84% consent) <br />3) 9th Drive between South Relief Canal & 2nd Street (Preliminary Cost <br />$14,644.57, 65% consent) <br />4) 21st Avenue between 1st Street SW & 2nd Street and 2nd Street East <br />to 20th Avenue (Preliminary Cost $38,501.38, 67% consent) <br />5) 6th Street from 12th Avenue to 14th Avenue & 12th Avenue from 5th <br />Place to 6th Street (Preliminary Cost $19,444.93, 67% consent) <br />Preliminary assessment rolls have been prepared for the paving and <br />drainage improvements. The total cost of these projects is. <br />approximately $119,031.35. There is approximately $152,915.68 in the <br />FY86-87 budget for Petiton Paving, Account No. 703-214-541-035.39. As <br />money from other roads is replenished to the Petition Paving Account, <br />these roads will be paved. ', <br />Also, advertisement of the public hearing and notification to the <br />property owners has been performed. <br />RECOMMENDATION AND FUNDING <br />After consideration of the public input provided at the public <br />hearing, it is recommended that motions be made to: <br />1) Adopt resolutions, providing for the paving and drainage <br />improvements for each petition paving project, subject to the terms <br />outlined in the Resolutions. The applicable interest rate shall be <br />1% over the Prime Rate at the time the final assessment roll is <br />approved. <br />2) Approve preliminary assessment rolls including any changes made as <br />a result of the public hearing. <br />3) Allocate $119,031,35 from the Petition Paving Account to fund this <br />work. <br />4) The Road and Bridge Department be notified to schedule construction <br />probably in June, 1987 or when funding is available. <br />39 <br />
