Katherine Odessa Clark felt that they should be allowed to keep the building and fix it up. Commissioner Bird wondered if Mrs. Clark was prepared to spend $10,000-$30,000 to restore this house and bring it up to code, but Director Rymer emphasized that the electrical and plumbing systems are 100% destroyed and that she would not be surprised if it was infested with termites. She believed that the house was ready to fall down and could not in good conscience recommend that it be repaired. ON MOTION by Commissioner -Eggert, SECONDED by Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously denied the appeal by Katherine Clark for an extension of time to allow the repair of the building.
