Tuesday,. March 3,1987 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, <br />March 3, 1987, at 9:OO o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Margaret C. Bowman, Vice Chairman; <br />Richard N. Bird; Carolyn K. Eggert; and Gary C. Wheeler. Also <br />present were Charles P. Balczun, County Administrator; Charles P. <br />Vitunac, Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; and <br />Virginia Hargreaves, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Reverend Elmer Vogelsong, Immanuel Baptist Church, gave the <br />invocation, and Administrator Balczun led the Pledge of Alle- <br />giance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />General Services Director Dean advised that staff would like <br />to pull Item 9 (CO #6, Phase I, IRC Jail, Finalizing Jail Con- <br />s,truction) from today's agenda and include it on next week's <br />agenda. <br />Commissioner Bird asked that a discussion of the traffic <br />situation on North U.S.I be placed under his items. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved the <br />addition and deletion of items as described above. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The Chairman asked if there were any additions or correc- <br />tions to the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 3, 1987. <br />BOOK G 7F' `E 4516 <br />
