The equivalent vehicle is available <br />on the Florida State Contract for $8684.57• <br />At the February 3, 1987 Board meeting staff was authorized to <br />purchase the trucks from the State Contract. <br />The Utilities Department has funds budgeted for (3) 1/2 Ton <br />Pickup Trucks and (1) 3/4 Ton Pickup Truck, which has not been. <br />bid. However., Pickup Trucks have consistently been less expensive <br />on the State Contract than the bids received. Also, production <br />cut-off dates are coming up by approximately April 1. The <br />3/4 Ton Pickup Truck can be purchased from the State Contract for <br />$9860.92. <br />Staff requests authorization to purchase (3) 1/2 Ton Pickup <br />Trucks and (1) 3/4 Ton Pickup Truck from the Florida State <br />Contract. <br />Funda are budgeted in Account #471-218-536-066.42. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously approved <br />the purchase of three 1/2 -ton Pickup Trucks and one <br />3/4 -ton Pickup Truck from the Florida State Contract, <br />funding to come from Account #471-218-536-066.42. <br />K. Consultants, Inc. was informed to present a <br />Professional Services contract proposal that would define a scope of <br />work. It was clearly understood by all parties concerned that no pay <br />request would be considered without prior approval due to <br />misunderstandings in the past. <br />20 <br />
