Engineering for offsite wastewater improvements to service <br />the School originally were going to be done by the School Board. <br />After discussion with the School Board staff, it was determined that <br />it would be much more cost effective for all if the County handled the <br />engineering and construction with a contribution -in -aid -of <br />construction for the School Board. <br />TTTATVQTQ <br />Preliminary estimates for construction by Masteller & Moler <br />Associates, Inc. amount to $233,100.00. Engineering fees for the <br />subject project amount to $24,900.00. The total estimated project <br />cost is therefore $258,000.00. <br />Funding for the project will be initially provided by the Utilities <br />Impact Fee Fund, but will include a $125,000.00 contribution -in -aid -of <br />construction by the Indian River County School Board. Future <br />development will pay a proportionate contribution -in -aid -of <br />construction in addition to the Impact Fees. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The Division of Utility Services recommends that the Board of County <br />Commissioners approve the subject construction and thereby authorize <br />the attached work authorization for $24,900.00 as submitted by <br />Masteller & Moler Associates, Inc. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved <br />the construction of offsite wastewater system <br />improvements for the new West County School and <br />authorized Work Authorization #13 submitted by <br />Masteller & Moler Associates, Inc. in the amount of <br />$24,900 for engineering fees, as recommended by staff. <br />77 <br />M <br />Lk <br />
