COUNTY WATER SYSTEM COMPUTER MODELING ANALYSIS <br />The Board.reviewed the following memo dated 3/3/87: <br />TO: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS DATE: MARCH 3, 1987 <br />THRU: CHARLES P. BOONE �( <br />ENGINEERING OPERATIONS MANAGER <br />/j��(/ <br />DIVISION OF UTILITY SERVICES ( <br />SUBJECT: WATER SYSTEM - COMPUTER MODELING ANALYSIS <br />BACKGROUND AND INFORMATION <br />Boyle Engineering Corp. is currently preparing a county wide water <br />system master plan, including a computer hydraulic model. <br />Frequently, expansions to the existing water distribution/transmission <br />system as a result of a county initiated capital expansion project or <br />a private development project will warrant computer modeling. By <br />utilizing the existing computer model by Boyle Engineering, consistent <br />hydraulic design is assured. <br />nwnT.veTc <br />Attached for your review and approval is an agreement with Boyle <br />Engineering Corp. to facilitate the County and private developers a <br />means of hydraulic modeling consistent with the county water system <br />master plan. <br />As outlined, the fee for each analysis will be $450.00 for up to 500 <br />equivalent residential units, with additional modeling runs at a rate <br />of $250.00 each. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS <br />The Division of Utility Services recommends that the Board of County <br />Commissioners execute the attached agreement -and thereby authorize <br />Boyle Engineering Corp. to perform computer hydraulic modeling for <br />expansion to the County's water system. Futhermore, the authorization <br />will enable the County to utilize the subject services as needed and <br />also to pass on the computer modeling cost for private development <br />projects to the developer. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously approved <br />Addendum No. 4 to Agreement, as recommended by staff. <br />80 <br />MAR 10 1987 BOCK 6 7 6 <br />
