r <br />BOOK 67 PAGE 877 <br />suggested he just attend the next couple of meetings, and if they <br />still need him fine and if they don't, they can continue on their <br />own. <br />Commissioner Eggert commented that one of the things she is <br />extraordinarily conscious of, having come up through the <br />committee situation, is that as Commissioners we should give <br />staff every opportunity to talk among themselves and not be <br />overly influenced by any one of us. <br />Chairman Scurlock felt all the Commissioners involves <br />themselves with their various committees and that it is naive to <br />think we sit on a committee and don't direct the action, but <br />Commissioners Eggert and Wheeler believed that is different than <br />working with staff on a workshop level. <br />Commissioner Eggert stated that unless invited, she would <br />not ever attend a staff meeting or a specific workshop. She <br />would just like to see the workshops continue and have them <br />invite a Commissioner if they need one. She felt they are saying <br />if they want you, they will invite you. <br />Nancy Offutt expressed her agreement with however the Board <br />wants to deal with it.
