APR 14, 1937 <br />BOOK 68 f'ACf <br />Telephone: (305) 567-8000 <br />April 20, 1987 <br />Mr. Ralph Hook, Planner IV <br />DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS <br />Bureau of Local Resource Planning <br />2571 Executive Center Circle, East <br />Tallahassee, FL 32301 <br />RE: INDIAN RIVER COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />AMENDMENT APPLICATIONS <br />Dear Mr. Hook, <br />Suncom Telephone: 424-1011 <br />Please find enclosed the County's Comprehensive Plan amendment <br />applications which were submitted in January of this year. <br />The County's Planning and Zoning Commission held public hearings <br />on each of these proposed amendments on March 12, 1987. <br />The Board of County Commissioners held preliminary public hearings <br />on each of these proposed amendments on April 14, 1987, and <br />approved resolution #87-38 which authorized transmittal of these <br />amendment applications to the State for the required ninety -day <br />review period (a copy of resolution #87-38 is enclosed). <br />Please be advised that the Board decided not to consider adding <br />45th Avenue to the Major Th9roughfare Plan and did not authorize <br />transmittal of that part of he Thoroughfare Plan amendment to the <br />State for review. <br />The Board of County Commissioners has amended the Comprehensive <br />Plan once this year on February 17, 1987. These memorandums describe: <br />1) The present and proposed land use designations; <br />2) The location and size of each property proposed <br />for land use change; <br />3) Surrounding land uses; <br />4) Description of availability of public facilities; and <br />5) Discussion of compatibility of the proposed amendment <br />with the general policies of the Comprehensive Plan. <br />In addition, ten copies of a map showing the location of each of <br />the proposed amendments is enclosed. <br />If you need further information, feel free to contact me. <br />Sincerely, <br />Richard M.
