WHEREAS, because of Tommy Thomas' love and respect for the <br />river and its environment he was appointed to serve on many <br />federal, state and local committees, where protecting all <br />navigable waters, including the Indian and Sebastian Rivers, were <br />involved; and <br />WHEREAS, Tommy Thomas knows the history of Indian *River <br />County and his knowledge was greatly used in research by all <br />governmental agencies; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board <br />expresses deep appreciation for the service he has performed on <br />behalf of Indian River County. His accomplishments over the past <br />15+ years, some of which we have mentioned, will affect future <br />generations of citizens within our County. <br />BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED that our heartfelt wishes for his <br />success in future endeavors go with him. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />BY: / C <br />Don C.
