Tuesday, May 12, 1987 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, May <br />12, 1987, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. Scurlock, <br />Jr., Chairman; Margaret C. Bowman, Vice Chairman; Richard N. <br />Bird; Carolyn K. Eggert; and Gary C. Wheeler. Also present were <br />Charles P. Balczun, County Administrator; Charles P.'Vitunac, <br />Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; Joseph Baird, OMB <br />Director; and Barbara Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order, and Attorney <br />Vitunac led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Scurlock requested the addition to today's Agenda <br />of two recommendations of the Finance Advisory Committee <br />regarding the selection of a financial consultant and!the <br />acquisition of 78 -acres of wetlands owned by the Estate of Julian <br />Lowenstein. <br />Commissioner Eggert requested the addition of an appointment <br />to the newly -formed Primaryllndigent Health Care Subcommittee and <br />a discussion re the Fellsmere Library. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously added the <br />above items to today's Agenda. <br />MAS1997 BOOS <br />1 <br />
