MAY 191987 <br />BOOK 68 F GE J1 <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The Chairman asked if there were any additions or correc- <br />tions to the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 28, 1987. <br />Commissioner Eggert wished to know if the following Motion <br />in regard to the Sheriff hiring 11 new people satisfied the OMB <br />Director: <br />"On Motion by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bird, the Board unanimously authorized the <br />Sheriff to hire 11 new people who are to be phased in <br />at an amount not to exceed $70,000 in this fiscal year, <br />with the understanding that the Sheriff will come back <br />with budget amendments as he does the hiring; funding to <br />come from the general fund contingencies." <br />OMB Director Baird confirmed that was satisfactory and noted <br />that unless the Sheriff hires the officers, he cannot get a draw. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved the <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 28, 1987, <br />as written. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Commissioner Eggert asked that Items 0 and P be removed <br />from the Consent Agenda for discussion. <br />A., B., & C. - Reports <br />The following reports were received and placed on file on <br />the Office of the Clerk: <br />Traffic Violation Bureau, Special Trust Fund, Month of <br />April, 1987 - $46,080.24 <br />Month to date report by last name, Month of April, 1987 <br />Report of Convictions, Month of April, 1987. <br />D. & E. - Renewal Pistol Permits <br />The Board reviewed memos from the Administrator, as follows: <br />2 <br />
