Tuesday, May 26, 1987 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, May <br />26, 1987, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. Scurlock, <br />Jr., Chairman; Margaret C. Bowman, Vice Chairman; Richard N. <br />Bird; and Gary C. Wheeler. Commissioner Carolyn K. Eggert was on <br />vacation. Also present were Charles P. Balczun, County <br />Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, Attorney to the Board of <br />County Commissioners; Joseph Baird, OMB Director; and Barbara <br />Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order, and Commissioner <br />Bowman led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Commissioner Bird requested the addition to the Consent <br />Agenda as Item N for out-of-state travel authorization to attend <br />a meeting of the NACo Agricultural and Rural Affairs Steering <br />Committee in Des Moines. <br />Chairman Scurlock requested the addition of the following <br />three items under Public Works: <br />1. Request for authorization to sell excess fill at Hobart <br />Road right-of-way. <br />2. Request for permission to purchase asphalt from <br />MacAsphalt Company. <br />3. Appraisals for the following properties: <br />a) North Tracking Station property; <br />b) South County Regional Park at Oslo Road. <br />c) Property along 43rd Avenue near 5th St. SW. <br />MAY 2 6 1987 BOOK : ,� c.
