'JUN 2 1987 BOOR( <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, to approve staff's recommendation <br />with the addition of a traffic signal at the 43rd Ave. <br />8 8th St. intersection. <br />Commissioner Wheeler expressed his preference to see the <br />whole project done, including turn lanes, etc., and Commissioner <br />Eggert agreed but felt that is part of the situation that we <br />should talk over with the school and try to work out. <br />Chairman Scurlock agreed whatever contribution we can get <br />would be appreciated. <br />Jack Pearce, Glendale Lakes, informed the Board that he has <br />to access 43rd Avenue three or four times a day, and he felt in ., <br />addition to the improvements discussed today, the Board should <br />give serious consideration to reducing the speed limit on 43rd <br />Avenue to no more than 40 mph from about 4th Street through to SR <br />60, which he felt would help the whole situation. <br />Commissioner Eggert stated that she would add an investiga- <br />tion of the speed limit to her Motion, but Director Davis advised <br />that is already included in the study. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously. <br />PROPOSED PROPERTY ACQUISITION <br />Administrator Balczun reviewed the following: <br />18 <br />i <br />
