ABERNETHY <br />FRANCHISE MANAGE <br />SUBJECT: ESTABLISHMENT OF WATER AND SEWER RATES FOR RIVERWALK <br />UTILITIES, INC. <br />Riverwalk Utilities, Inc., has been billing each tenant using a pro <br />rata structure based on the total quarterly operating expenses. <br />Riverwalk Utilities, Inc., has requested the approval to install <br />individual meters for the tenants. With the installation of these <br />meters, utility rates must be established. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The Utility Services Department has reviewed Riverwalk's request and <br />recommends the the Board of County Commissioners establish the <br />following rates through a resolution which will amend Resolution <br />85-17: <br />WATER SERVICE <br />Customer Charge ................................ $1.92/meter <br />Base Facility Charge ........................... 5.66/ERU <br />Consumption Charge ............................. 2.10/1,000 GAL <br />SEWER CHARGE <br />Customer Charge ................................ $1.95/meter <br />Base Facility Charge ........................... 1.62/ERU <br />Consumption Charge ............................. 3.03/1,000 GAL <br />These rates shall become effective with the next billing cycle of <br />July 1, 1987. <br />The Chairman asked if anyone present wished to be heard. <br />There were none, and the Chairman declared the public hearing <br />closed. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bird, the Board unanimously adopted Resolu- <br />tion 87-57 authorizing rates for Riverwalk Utilities, <br />Inc., water and wastewater system franchise. <br />L- JU`'_ 2 3. 198" 19 BOOK 68 F'Alt 61u <br />
