BairdSUBJ ECT: IRC BID #348 -Thermoplastic <br />Director, Budgete0ce-__ <br />Pavement Marking Applicator for <br />Traffic Engineering <br />FROM: 4REFERENCES: <br />Caroly oodrich, Manager <br />Purchasing Department <br />Recommendation <br />The only bid was submitted by Pave -Mark Corporation, Atlanta, Ga., <br />in the amount of $10,335.00, the bid meets specifications. <br />Staff recommends IRC #348 be awarded to the only bidder, Pave -Mark <br />in the amount of $10,335.00, per the attached memo from Michael Orr. <br />Intended Use of Capital Equipment <br />The thermoplastic pavement marking applicator will be used to apply <br />pavement markings. The process last longer than paint markings. <br />Source of Funds <br />$12,500.00 for the Purchase of a thermoplastic pavement marking . <br />applicator was approved for FY86/87 in the Traffic Engineering budget. <br />Bid Data <br />IRC #348 was advertised on May 18, 19, 26 and 27, 1987. Bids were <br />received Wednesday, June 17, 1987 at 2 P.M. 5 Bids were sent out, 1 <br />Bid was received. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously awarded <br />Bid f348 in the amount of $10,335 to the only bidder, <br />Pave -Mark Corporation for a thermoplastic pavement <br />marking applicator, as recommended by Purchasing <br />Manager Goodrich. <br />JUL 7 .49Q7 15 <br />BOOK °,iJ <br />
