However, they <br />still would have to come in for a permit. <br />Commissioner Bowman noted that 2c in Section 3 refers to a <br />site plan when no mention of a site plan is made anywhere else in <br />the ordinance except in 4a & 4b in Section 3, where it refers to <br />a scale drawing. She assumed that when they say "scale drawing", <br />they mean "site plan", and suggested that "site plan" and "scale <br />drawing" be cross referenced to avoid confusion. <br />Director Keating admitted that could lead to confusion, and <br />stated that staff would make that modification. <br />Commissioner Bird did not see anyone in attendance from the <br />car dealership association, and asked Director Keating if he felt <br />the car dealers were satisfied with the compromise. <br />Director Keating believed that there were 7 or 8 dealers <br />represented at the workshop, and 3 or 4 of them attended the P & <br />Z meeting. In talking to a couple of others after that, he felt <br />the majority of the dealers were in favor of the situation. They <br />did recommend a couple of changes, and those were incorporated <br />into the ordinance. They were all advised by letter of today's <br />meeting. <br />Commissioner Bowman believed there is a loophole in the <br />ordinance under Renewals and Extensions on Page 2, because it <br />says that requests for an extension of a temporary use may be <br />made, but it does not set a limit. She could see where this <br />could be an on-going thing unless some kind of restriction is <br />set. Reference is made that in addition to the 4 days they can <br />come in for an extension. <br />Mr. Boling advised that temporary use permits can be <br />extended for fruit and vegetable sales, but in specific <br />sub -sections, there are limits on certain types. For instance, <br />car sales events cannot go over 4 days. <br />The Commissioners then asked why any reference is made to <br />extensions when none are allowed, and Director Keating explained <br />that -the language applies to all temporary uses that would be <br />41 <br />W <br />
