McCoy ciba giegy <br />REFERENCES: <br />S aff Planner JOHN <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal' <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at their <br />regular meeting of -August 25, 1987. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />I <br />On August 29, 1986,.the Planning and Zoning Commission approved a <br />•major site plan application submitted by Ciba Giegy. Approval was <br />given to construct a 4, 701 . sq. ft. - -addition to their building at <br />7145 8th Avenue. <br />Due to conditions placed on the site plan approvals Ciba Geigy has <br />been unable to commence construction prior. "to the expiration of <br />the approved site plan.. Prior to August 29, 1987 expiration date, <br />the applicant requested a on;. the extefision� of the site plan <br />.approval. <br />Pursuant. to section 23.1(G)(2) of the site plan ordinance, the <br />Board may grant an extension -of the "site plan approval. To date, <br />-.'-the Bpard's•policy has. been,to grant such extension requests. <br />RECOM44ENDA--TION <br />,Staff recommends approval of Ciba Geig'Is request fora one-year <br />:.'extension. of their approved site plan, with all conditions <br />previously attached to the site plan' approval; the -new -expiration <br />date to.be August 25, 1988. <br />Chairman Scurlock had some difficulty in extending site plan <br />approvals that we have had for a lengthy amount of time, and <br />as <br />AUG 2 6 .
