Vatg, P SUBJECT: HORACE HAWES' REQUEST FOR <br />Community Developme t Director SITE PLAN EXTENSION <br />THROUGH: Stan Boling <br />Chief, Current Development <br />FROM: StaffWPlanne ) " o REFERENCES: JOHN3 <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at their <br />regular meeting of September 15, 1987. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />On October 23, 1986, the Technical Review Committee approved a <br />minor site plan application submitted by Horace Hawes. Approval <br />was given to construct a 1,200 sq. ft. building at 816 9th Street <br />S.W. <br />Due to difficulty obtaining permits, Mr. Hawes has been unable to <br />commence construction prior to the expiration of the approved site <br />plan. The applicant has requested a one-year extension of the <br />site plan approval, prior to the October 23, 1987 expiration date. <br />Pursuant to section 23.1(G)(2) of the site plan ordinance, the <br />Board may grant an extension of the site plan approval. To date, <br />the Board's policy has been to grant such extension requests. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of Horace Hawes' request for a one-year <br />extension of their approved site plan, with all conditions pre- <br />viously attached to the site plan approval; the new expiration <br />date to be October 25, 1988. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously granted a <br />one-year extension of site plan as requested by <br />Horace Hawes. <br />C.
