PINTO <br />DIRECTOR OF UTILITYE /ICES <br />FROM: JOHN FREDERICK LANG <br />ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST <br />DIVISION OF UTILITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: PROJECT # UW86-11 DS POTABLE WATER <br />MAIN CHANGE ORDER #3 FOR THE CORNER <br />OF 12TH STREET AND COMMERCE AVE. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Division of Utility Services is currently constructing major= ---- <br />water system improvements along 12th Street, east of Old Dixie <br />Highway. At the same time, the Division of Public Works is <br />constructing major roadway improvements in the same location. These - <br />roadway improvements cannot be initiated until completion of the <br />water system improvements. <br />Attached for your review and approval is change order No. 3, as <br />submitted by Masteller and Moler Associates, Inc. for additional <br />engineering services. -_ <br />The engineering cost estimate and plans were worked up so that <br />either the existing contractor or in the future any other contractor <br />utilized by the County could complete the work. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The Division of Utility Services wishes to extend the 16" diameter <br />water main on the south side of 12th Street so as to remove the end <br />of the line from the intersection. <br />The net result of the subject improvements being an addition of <br />$570.00 for engineering services. <br />The Division of Utility Services, recommends that the Board of <br />County Commissioners authorize the subject utility improvements by <br />executing change order No. 3 for Masteller and Moler Associates, <br />Inc. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously (3-0) <br />approved Change Order #3 as submitted by <br />Masteller & Moler Associates, Inc. <br />SEP 2 2 1987 <br />" r3ooK 69 PAGE 495 <br />
