Central 911 system to have a GE Star <br />Validator installed prior to January 1, 1988. Information.received <br />indicates that the GE Star Validator will interface with the CAD <br />System automatically, identifying the unit --calling when the radio <br />is activated. The memo advises that Communications of Vero will <br />be handling the installation and coding of the equipment. Communi- <br />cations of Vero has advised that the validator would cost $190.00 <br />for each radio and this price includes coding and installation. <br />The purchase of this equipment was not planned for in the respect- <br />ive budgets of the Emergency Management, North County Fire District, <br />or the ambulance squads due to late receipt of the information. <br />The following County radio units will need the validators installed <br />and funded prior to January 1, 1988. <br />Emergency Management <br />Twelve radios @ $190.00 each = $2,280 <br />Sebastian Volunteer Fire'Department <br />Twenty -Three (23) radios @ $190.00 each = $4,370 <br />Vero Lake Estates Volunteer Fire Department <br />Nine (9) radios @ $190.00 each = $1,710 <br />Roseland Volunteer Fire Department <br />Fourteen (14) radios @ $190.00 each = $2,660 <br />Wabasso Volunteer Fire Department <br />Nine (9) radios @ $190.00 each = $1,710 <br />59 <br />SEP 2 2 1987 Bou 69 FACE 50 <br />
