Lease Amendment for Sheriff's North County Office Space <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bowman, the Board unanimously (4-0) approved <br />Lease Amendment for space in Washington Plaza for <br />Sheriff Dobeck, extending the lease agreement for one <br />year until November 30, 1988. <br />LEASE AMENDMENT WILL BE MADE A PART OF THE MINUTES WHEN FULLY <br />EXECUTED AND RECEIVED. HRS Contract for Public Health Services <br />Commissioner Eggert advised that she talked to Dr. Berman <br />about the contract yesterday because she was having trouble <br />tracking Primary Care. The $85,000 from the county and the <br />$85,000 from the Hospital are in here, but any state money that <br />comes on approval of our application for Primary Care, as she <br />understood it, will come back in an amended contract; so, that <br />isn't in here. <br />Chairman Scurlock commented that on Backup Page 23, Sec. <br />Vill, Payment For Services, he looked at the total the department <br />agrees to pay, which is $1,040,133, and then there was a change <br />on the next page where our participation, which originally was <br />$588,347, has been reduced to $375,848, and he wished to make <br />sure those are now the correct numbers. <br />Commissioner Eggert understood that they are. <br />Dr. Berman explained that the difference is that the fees, <br />which are considered a local contribution, were included in the <br />$588,000 figure. <br />Chairman Scurlock asked if the $85,000 funding for primary <br />and indigent care in our budget is within this agreement, and Dr. <br />Berman confirmed that it is. <br />Chairman Scurlock wished to know, in the event the state <br />should decide to reduce the budget, if we are in any way locked <br />6 <br />
