Finn ,4A • REFERENCES: <br />Right -of -Way Acquisition Agent <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The property owners recent appraisal of the total property equates <br />to $3.63 per square foot for the subject r/w parcel. Subject r/w parcel <br />with 61.02 feet U.S. #1 frontage is 2257.93 square feet. <br />The property owner is willing to sell the r/w at the appraised <br />value of $8,196.00 and give a 10' easement the length of Palm Lane. <br />RECOMMENDATION & FUNDING <br />The purchase price appears equitable and staff requests <br />authorization to purchase the 2,257.93 square feet r/w at $8,196.00. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />authorized the purchase of 2,257.93 square feet <br />of right-of-way at $8,196, as recommended by staff. <br />EVALUATION OF EXISTING SOLID WASTE COLLECTION SYSTEM <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 10/30/87: <br />DATE: OCTOBER 30, 1987 / <br />TO: BOARD OF COUNTY COMM SI NERS <br />FROM: TERRANCE G. PINTO, I <br />DIRECTOR OF UTI I CES <br />SUBJECT: EVALUATION OF THE EXISTING SOLID WASTE COLLECTION <br />SYSTEM AND ASSISTANCE IN IMPLEMENTING CHANGES TO THE <br />SYSTEM <br />BACKGROUND <br />Through the public hearing of October 13j 1987, the Board directed <br />staff to enlist our consulting engineers, Camp, Dresser and McKee, <br />Inc., to'perform an evaluation of the County's Solid Waste Collection <br />System, including franchises. This evaluation will help in <br />determining whether or not additional franchise haulers are needed in <br />the County. <br />22 <br />
