Tuesday, November 10, 1987 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, <br />November 10, 1987, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Margaret C. Bowman, Vice Chairman; <br />Richard N. Bird; Carolyn K. Eggert; and Gary C. Wheeler. Also <br />present were Charles P. Balczun, County Administrator; Charles P. <br />Vitunac, Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; and <br />Virginia Hargreaves, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order, and County <br />Attorney Vitunac led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Scurlock advised that Commissioner Wheeler had re- <br />quested that an emergency item be added in regard to the 12th <br />Street Road Improvement Project, the emergency being that the <br />holiday season soon will be upon us. <br />The Chairman had felt there was an item to be added re the <br />Sheriff's Administration Building, but Administrator Balczun <br />advised that although they had sent it down to be added, they <br />have decided to wait until Mr. Dean returns to put this on the <br />agenda. <br />Chairman Scurlock wished to add under his matters a <br />discussion in regard to the new Assistant Administrator and the <br />compensation level offered. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Commis- <br />sioner Bowman, the Board unanimously added the above <br />items to today's agenda. <br />NOV 10 1987 Boa 70 a ;� 38 <br />
