FN OV 7987 BOOK 70 PaU474 . <br />F <br />Director Keating noted the road was constructed to county <br />standards, and Public Works Director Keating confirmed that when <br />Waverly Place was put in this road was required to be a 20' wide <br />two lane road and itis a standard 20' subdivision street. <br />Director Keating further noted that it is difficult to talk <br />about values, but the units will range in size from 1,360 to <br />1,440 sq. ft., which is quite a decent size. <br />Dr. Slesser continued to express concern about traffic <br />congestion at the intersection and didn't see why the entrance <br />can't be off 6th Avenue. <br />Chairman Scurlock noted that is exactly what we discourage, <br />and Director Keating explained the objective is to minimize the <br />number of curb cuts on a collector roadway. <br />Commissioner Wheeler further clarified that we try to have <br />less access onto collector roads so that traffic can flow better, <br />and, therefore, we want subdivisions to empty onto lesser roads <br />and then onto the main system. <br />It was determined that no one else wished to be heard, and <br />the Chairman declared the public hearing closed. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Eggert, the Board unanimously granted <br />PRD Special Exception Approval for Catalina Oaks <br />as recommended by staff. <br />APPROVAL REMOTE CONTROL AUTO RACING FACILITY LEASE (FAIRGROUNDS) <br />The Board reviewed memo of Attorney Brennan: <br />32 <br />
