Proclamation Designating Dec. 4th as Patricia M. Baker Day <br />P R O C L A M A T I O N <br />WHEREAS, the profession of Nursing is committed to the <br />promotion• of health and the prevention of disease and the <br />delivery of quality Nursing care; and <br />WHEREAS, Registered Nurses are assuming increasing <br />responsibility and accountability 'for this community's health <br />care needs for all citizens; and <br />WHEREAS, Nurses have forcefully demonstrated their <br />professionalism by continually striving to upgrade standards of <br />care and improve service; and <br />WHEREAS, Florida men and women in Nursing are expanding <br />their professional roles by continuing education, research, and <br />practice and have served the community of Indian River County <br />through District #17, Florida Nurses Association, giving <br />excellent Nursing and health care; and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County takes pride in all our members, <br />especially PATRICIA M. BARER, who Governor Bob Martinez has <br />appointed to the State Board of Nurses; and <br />WHEREAS, PATRICIA M. BARER is the Director of Treasure Coast <br />Rehabilitation Hospital and is -the first Nurse in Indian River <br />County to receive the honor of being appointed to the State Board <br />of Nurses; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that December 4, <br />1987 be observed as <br />PATRICIA M.
