Dale Patchett <br />SUBJECT: Indian River County Legislative Delegation Meeting <br />DATE: January 27, 1988 <br />The legislative delegation of Indian River County will hold <br />its annual meeting and public hearing on January 27, 1988, beginning <br />at 9:00 a.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 1053 20th <br />Place, Vero Beach, Florida. <br />The purpose of the delegation meeting prior to the convening <br />of the regular session of the Florida Legislature is to consider <br />thv introduction of Special Acts relating to Indian River County and <br />to allow local residents an opportunity to voice their opinions on <br />various issues to the delegation. Members of the Indian River County <br />delegation are Representative R. Dale Patchett, District #78; Represen- <br />tative Irlo 'Bud" Bronson, District #77; and Senator Tim Deratany, <br />District #16. <br />Anyone wishing to have a Special Act for Indian River County <br />introduced should have the Act drafted and brought to my office at <br />49 Royal Palm Boulevard, before December 9, 1987. A statement, by an <br />attorney, that the purpose of the Act -cannot be accomplished by local <br />ordinance or rule, is required with each proposed Special Act. <br />If you have any questions regarding the meeting or wish to be on <br />the agenda to address the delegation, please contact my Legislative <br />Aide Dawn Smith or my Legislative Secretary Laura Mussen. <br />Commissioner Bowman asked if we have any special bills to <br />take to the Legislative Delegation in January, and Attorney <br />Vitunac advised that we are supporting a bill sponsored by the <br />Tri -County group that would make county checks void after one <br />year. Other than that, there are no special bills coming from <br />his office. <br />Commissioner Bird suggested that we ask the Delegation to <br />support us in having the DOT do the improvements along SR -60, and <br />53 <br />
