The CORAL telephone system,
installed by -Southern Bell, arranges these extensions on cards. The
Sheriff feels that three additional cards are needed.
Southern Bell has quoted a price of approximately $3,375 for each
card for a total of $10,125. However, if the cards are purchased
.prior to final acceptance of the telephone system, the County can
receive a discounted price of approximately $2,700, a savings of $675
per card, or $2,025 for all three.
Recommendation -
Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners take
advantage of the discount price of $2,700 per card, or $8,100 for all
three, funding to come from the Sheriff's Building Contingency fund.
30
