Scurlock <br />Chairman, Indian River County <br />Board of Commissioners <br />1840 25th Street <br />Vero Beach, Florida 32960 <br />Re: Indian River County Sheriff's Traffic Service <br />Program/Project Number 88-04-R--315-05 <br />Dear Mr. Scurlock: <br />The Department of Community Affairs, through the Bureau <br />of Public Safety Management, is pleased to. award a highway safety, <br />grant in the amount of $166,888.00 to your agency. The purpose of <br />this grant is to provide the necessary capital outlay for the <br />establishment of an eight (8) officer traffic enforcement unit <br />within the Indian River County Sheriff's Department. A copy of the <br />approved subgrant application with the above referenced project <br />number and title is enclosed for your file. All correspondence <br />with the Bureau of Public Safety Management should always -refer to <br />the project number and title. <br />Your attention is directed to Part IV of the subgrant <br />entitled the "Acceptance and Agreement." These conditions should = <br />be reviewed carefully by those persons responsible for project <br />administration to avoid delays in project completion and cost <br />reimbursements. The effective date of the subgrant is December 1, <br />1987 and only those costs incurred on or after that date are eli- <br />gible for reimbursement. <br />The attached Certificate of Acceptance should be completed <br />and returned to the Bureau within fifteen (15) calendar days from <br />date of receipt by the subgrantee. This certificate constitutes <br />official acceptance of the award and must be received by the <br />Bureau prior to the reimbursement of any project expenditures. <br />We look forward to working with you on this project.
