REFERENCES: GHDO <br />Chief, Current Development STAN2 <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at their <br />regular meeting of December 8, 1987. <br />DESCRIPTION & CONDITIONS: _ <br />Grand Harbor is a ±854 acre development of regional impact (D.R.I) <br />which is regulated in general by a development order (D:O.), and <br />more specifically by local zoning, site plan, subdivision, and PRD <br />regulations. The adopted D.O. forms the basic conditions to which <br />all development within the site must conform. The original D.O. <br />was adopted by the Board of -County Commissioners --_ and .contained 64 <br />specific conditions of regulation. The history of the D.O. and <br />its amendments is as follows: <br />October 23, 1985: The D.O. is adopted with 64 conditions. <br />February 5, 1986: The D.O. is amended to add special <br />language regarding marina use, manatee protection, and <br />off-site tributory drainage. <br />October 20, 1986: The D.O. is amended to allow the filling <br />of up to 12 acres of non -exempted wetlands, with mitigation. <br />December 9, 1986: The D.O. is amended to include the '176 <br />acre River Club area within the D.R.I. area of development,. <br />and to allow 72 additional sailboat slips in the marina. <br />The project owner, Grand Harbor, Inc., is now requesting another <br />amendment to the D.O. At their regular meeting of November -12, <br />1987, the Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed the proposed <br />amendment and unanimously recommended that the Board approve the <br />amendment. <br />56 <br />
