JAN 13 1988 <br />BOOK 70 PAGE 598 <br />The Chairman asked if anyone present wished to be heard. <br />There were none, and he thereupon declared the public hearing <br />closed. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Commis- <br />sioner Bird, the Board unanimously adopted Ordinance <br />88-2 amending the County Code Enforcement Ordinance. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 88- 2 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY, FLORIDA, REPEALING ARTICLE <br />3, DIVISION 2, SECTIONS 1-51 <br />THROUGH 1-63 OF THE INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY CODE ENFORCEMENT ORDINANCE <br />AND ADOPTING CHAPTER 162, FLORIDA <br />STATUTES, AND FUTURE AMENDMENTS <br />THERETO, INCLUSION IN THE CODE, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida that: <br />SECTION 1. CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD REPEAL <br />Indian River County Ordinance 83-10 and Sections 1-51 <br />through 1-63 of the Indian River County Code of Laws and <br />Ordinances are repealed. <br />SECTION 2. REESTABLISHMENT OF CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD <br />There shall be a Code Enforcement Board for Indian <br />River County which shall operate pursuant to the <br />organization, powers, and duties of Chapter 162, Florida <br />Statutes, as that chapter exists and as it -may be amended <br />in the future by the Florida Legislature. <br />SECTION 3. INCORPORATION IN CODE <br />This ordinance shall be incorporated into the Code of <br />Ordinances of Indian River County and the word "ordinance" <br />may be changed to "section", "article", or other appropriate <br />word and the sections of this ordinance may be renumbered or <br />relettered to accomplish such purposes. <br />SECTION 4. SEVERABILITY <br />If any section or if any sentence, paragraph, phrase, <br />or word of this ordinance is for any reason held to be <br />38 <br />
