ON MOTION by Commissioner Bowman, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously accepted <br />Mrs. Montgomery's proposed settlement and authorized <br />payment of the additional amount of $29,842.50. <br />DISCUSSION RE MATTERS TO BE PRESENTED TO LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION <br />Attorney Vitunac wished the Board to advise him of any <br />changes that should be made in the following list of matters to <br />be presented to the Legislative Delegation: <br />LIST OF ITEMS OF COUNTY CONCERN <br />TO BE DISCUSSED <br />BY CHARLES VITUNAC, COUNTY ATTORNEY <br />BEFORE THE LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION <br />AT THE LOCAL MEETING AT <br />CITY HALL ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 27, 1988 <br />1. Dissolutionment of Special Act which created <br />the Town of Orchid <br />2. Road Improvements - State Road 60 (four -lanes) <br />3. Continue to push for local tax options and operating <br />money/no referendum <br />4. Voice County objections to unreasonable <br />State mandates re: County Jail <br />5. Medical Malpractice, General Torts <br />6. Library Grants <br />7. Health Building - State funding <br />8. Oppose Senate Bill 19 re: HRS not having county say so <br />in Health Director - Take Health out of HRS and set up <br />a new district <br />1) Dissolutionment of Special Act creating Town of Orchid <br />Chairman Scurlock believed the question related to <br />recommending dissolutionment of the Town.
