In addition to the dedication of the right-of-way, <br />Windsor Polo Club Associates have advised that they are willing <br />to dedicate a 100 -ft. wide parcel up to 300 feet deep on the <br />southwesterly corner that could serve as additional park area or <br />the location of an observation platform overlooking the Refuge. <br />Chairman Scurlock noted that he did not see a utility <br />easement through there, which will be required. <br />Mr. Swift introduced into the record editorials from the <br />February 10th issue of the Sebastian Sun and February 21st issue <br />of the Press -Journal, encouraging the approval of the Windsor <br />Polo Club because of its low-density and high-quality nature. <br />In closing, Mr. Swift emphasized that they look forward to <br />being contributing members to the community and would be glad to <br />answer any question on the conceptual plan being presented this <br />morning. <br />Mr. Swift asked permission for John J. Morrison, a member of <br />the Scenic Traits Committee, to speak in regard to the historical <br />significance of the Trail. <br />Chairman Scurlock said that would be fine if he kept it <br />brief, because the Board does not want to get into a debate as he <br />believed it is a forgone conclusion that the community perceives <br />there to be historic and scenic value to the north portion of <br />Jungle Trail. <br />Mr. Morrison introduced into the record a copy of the <br />Agreement for Lease of Lands of the Trustees of the Internal <br />Improvement Fund of the State of Florida dated May 23, 1968. <br />LEASE AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE <br />BOARD. <br />Mr. Morrison emphasized that he does not have any financial <br />interest or other interest in the proposed Windsor Polo Club. <br />His interests are solely as a civic activist supporting an <br />65 <br />FEB 28 1980 <br />Boot( 71 FAH 65 <br />
