Tuesday, March 15, 1988 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, <br />March 15, 1988, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Gary C. Wheeler, Vice Chairman; Richard <br />N. Bird; Margaret C. Bowman; and Carolyn K. Eggert. Also present <br />were Charles P. Balczun, County Administrator; Charles P. <br />Vitunac, Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; Joseph <br />Baird, OMB Director; and Virginia Hargreaves, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Reverend Elmer Vogelsang, Immanuel Baptist Church, gave the <br />invocation, and Commissioner Bowman led the Pledge of Allegiance <br />to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Commissioner Eggert wished to add a short statement about <br />the Community Redevelopment Agency to the agenda. She also <br />requested that the item regarding selection of the main library <br />site be taken up while a full Board is still present, knowing <br />that the Chairman has to leave about noon, and further asked that <br />Item 10 A - North County Library Amended Survey - be tabled until <br />a later meeting. <br />Commissioner Bird advised that he will make a report on the <br />Parks & Recreation Committee under his matters. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Commis- <br />sioner Bowman, the Board unanimously tabled and added on <br />items to today's agenda as described above. <br />MAR 15 1988 <br />BOOK 71 <br />1`70 <br />
