Proclamation - Reverend Dr. Robert Stanley Sanford <br />PROCLAMATION <br />WHEREAS, Reverend Dr. Robert Stanley Sanford has been Pastor <br />of the First Baptist Church of Wabasso since June, 1982; and <br />WHEREAS, on April 10, 1988 Reverend Sanford will be <br />resigning his pastorate of the First Baptist Church of Wabasso to <br />assume a pastorate of the First Baptist Church in St. Marys, <br />Georgia; and <br />WHEREAS, Reverend Sanford received his Doctor of Ministry <br />degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, <br />Kentucky in 1985; and <br />WHEREAS, -Reverend Sanford has contributed to the community <br />by serving on numerous denominational, benevolent and community_. <br />boards in Indian River County. and <br />WHEREAS, Reverend Sanford has worked diligently_ toward _a_ <br />-___drugfree^community since 1986; and <br />WHEREAS, Reverend Sanford was involved in many committees <br />for the betterment of children in Indian River County; and <br />WHEREAS, Reverend Sanford wrote "The Pastor's Perspective," <br />a weekly newspaper column for the Sebastian Sun newspaper; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY, Florida proclaims its appreciation for the <br />leadership and guidance exhibited for many of the residents and <br />youth of Indian River County by the Reverend Dr. Robert Stanley <br />Sanford. <br />The Board further extends best wishes to Reverend Sanford in <br />all his future endeavors. <br />APR 51988 <br />• <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />Don C.
