ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously added <br />the above items to today's Agenda. <br />INTRODUCTION OF ROBERT McCLARY, SEBASTIAN CITY MANAGER <br />Sebastian City Councilman Peter Vallone introduced newly <br />elected Mayor Richard Votapka, who in turn introduced Robert <br />McClary, Sebastian's first City Manager. <br />Mr. McClary thanked everyone for their kind words of intro- <br />duction, and expressed his enthusiasm and optimism for the City <br />of Sebastian's future. He wished to begin his new position by <br />urging the County Board of Commissioners to approve funds from <br />the Florida Boating Improvement Fund to replace the finger docks <br />at the Sebastian boat ramp. <br />Chairman Scurlock thanked the Sebastian officials for coming <br />this morning, and felt confident that the cooperation between the <br />County and the City would continue to stay on a positive note. <br />He emphasized that the Commission realizes that Sebastian is the <br />fastest growing community in the County and they are ready and <br />willing to commit the necessary resources to see tha*t•good growth <br />and good planning take place. The Chairman also felt confident <br />that the Commission will extend every effort for participation in <br />joint programs with the City. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The Chairman asked if there were any corrections or <br />additions to the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of 3/22/88: <br />There were none. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously approved <br />the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of 3/22/88, as <br />written. <br />2 sou 79 <br />APR, 1988 <br />
