The Chairman thereupon declared the resolution duly <br />passed and adopted this 19th day of April, 1988. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />By <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMITTEE REPORT <br />Doonn—C. 5curMd`ock <br />Chairman <br />The Board reviewed the following Summary of Actions: <br />PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br />SUMMARY OF ACTIONS <br />APRIL 14, 1988 <br />The Committee reviewed the User Fee and Revenue Study and <br />recommended minor changes. 1) #11 Corporation should be included <br />in the North Beach Complex properties on page 47; 2) the figures <br />on page 47 are incorrect; 3) on page 48, CARL funds should be <br />changed to L&WC funds. The Committeerecommended that the Board <br />of County Commissioners approve the Study as amended, and use the <br />Special Taxing District for operating expenses and not for <br />capital improvements unless there is an economic decline in the <br />other revenue programs. <br />The representative from Gifford abstained from voting because the <br />Gifford Civic Progressive League did not understand portions of <br />the Study. Commissioner Bird and Jim Davis will meet with the <br />Civic Progressive League and attempt to answer their questions. <br />VERO LAKES ESTATES <br />A resident from Vero Lakes Estates requested that one of the lots <br />designated for .a park be cleared of underbrush and debris, and <br />then the Homeowners Association will maintain the lot. Rex <br />Hailey was directed to look into the situation and report back to <br />the Committee at the next meeting. <br />The question of allowing residents to swim in the lakes located <br />on County properties was raised.
