Tuesday, May 3, 1988 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission Chambers, <br />1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, May 3, 1988, at <br />9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; <br />Gary C. Wheeler, Vice Chairman; Richard N. Bird; Margaret C. <br />Bowman; and Carolyn K. Eggert. Also present were Charles P. <br />Balczun, County Administrator; Charles P..Vitunac, Attorney to the <br />Board of County Commissioners; and Barbara Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Dr. Julius Rice, Pastor of Community Church -United Church of <br />Christ, gave the invocation, and Commissioner Bowman led the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Commissioner Eggert requested the addition to today's Agenda <br />of a discussion regarding EMS service to the Sebastian area, and <br />Chairman Scurlock requested the addition of the status of the <br />recent salary survey. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously added <br />the above items to today's Agenda. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />I. Appointment of Deputy Sheriff <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by. <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously approved <br />the Sheriff's appointment of Deputy Sheriff Brenda K. <br />Stinnet. <br />SAY 31998 Boor 72c, A <br />11 Ac %48 <br />
