BALCZUN <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />SUBJECT : TEMPORARY EMPLOYEE/PURCHASING DIVISION <br />DATE : MAY 9, 1988 <br />We have been notified by the Purchasing Division that purchasing <br />specialist Duane Swan will be on vacation for the period June 13, <br />1988 to June 24, 1988, inclusive. The Purchasing Manager has <br />requested that a temporary employee be secured for the period of <br />Mr. Swan's absence. Due to the nature of the function, Mr. <br />Ambler has requested that the period of temporary employment <br />commence one week prior to Mr. Swan's departure for vacation. <br />It is requested that the Board of County Commissioners b <br />petitioned to allow the hiring of a temporary employee for the <br />Purchasing Division. The maximum period authorized for the <br />temporary would be for three weeks. The period of temporary <br />assignment would not last beyond June 24, 1988. <br />Funds to pay the temporary person are available in the MEMONSOOft <br />personal services budget category through salary <br />savings. <br />m A. He felt the temporary employee <br />situation is getting out of hand. <br />Purchasing Manager Gus Ambler explained that he would like <br />to secure a stock clerk who can pull inventory, stock the <br />warehouse, and make deliveries.
