PURCHASE OF MOON PROPERTY FOR LIBRARY SITE <br />The preceding Notice and Proof of Publication apply to this <br />site also. <br />County Attorney Vitunac reviewed the following with the same <br />comments as in regard to the acquisition of the church property: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney <br />DATE: May 25, 1988 <br />RE: PURCHASE OF MOON PROPERTY FOR SOUTH COUNTY LIBRARY <br />Lots 3 thru 7, flock 37 of ORIGINAL TOWN <br />Commission Meeting - May 31, 1988 <br />In connection with the proposed purchase by the County of <br />the Moon property for the South County Library site, <br />please find the following documents attached: <br />(a) contract with purchase price of $325,000 with a <br />closing date of October 3, 1988, (The original <br />selling price of the property has been reduced <br />by $50,000 to give the County $50,000 to deal <br />with the lessees.) <br />(b) an appraisal of the property showing value of <br />$337,400, <br />(c) two subleases which the County's title will be <br />subject to, (The supermarket lease expires <br />12/31/91, and the laundromat lease expires 2/9/92 <br />with an option to renew until 2/9/97.) <br />(d) a letter from Nancy Moon's attorney, Sam Block, <br />indicating that Mrs. Moon can give the County good <br />title even though there is a claimed right of <br />first refusal by one of the lessees, <br />(e) a plan for the provision of sewer services to the <br />site <br />(f) a quitclaim deed from the City of Vero Beach with <br />conditions. <br />Staff recommends execution of the contract and acceptance of <br />the quitclaim deed with conditions from the City of Vero <br />Beach. <br />Commissioner Bird wished to be sure he understands what we <br />are doing i.e., our intention would be to move forward to <br />demolish the church building and start with the construction of <br />our library, parking,.landscaping, etc., on the site except where <br />34 <br />,MAY 31.199$ Boor, �12 FnUE 439 <br />
