PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT - CR 512 IMPROVEMENTS <br />Public Works Director Davis reviewed the following: <br />TO: Charles A. Balczun <br />County Administrator <br />FROM: James W. Davis, P.E. <br />Public Works Directo <br />SUBJECT: Professional Services Agreement <br />CR 512 Improvements <br />DATE: May 24, 1988 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Staff has negotiated the attached agreement providing <br />Professional Engineering/Surveying Services for the design of a 4 <br />lane divided roadway, drainage improvements, and pedestrian <br />facilities along the CR 512 corridor from Collier Creek to U.S. <br />1. The agreement defines a detailed scope of work which includes <br />a Traffic Engineering Study for much of the City of Sebastian, <br />full design services, permitting, and construction management. <br />The basic fee is $226,956 plus direct expenses such as <br />reproductions, copies, etc. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />Staff has negotiated the agreement and is of the opinion <br />that the scope of work and compensation is appropriate. <br />RECOMMENDATION AND FUNDING <br />It is recommended that the Board authorize the Chairman to <br />execute the Agreement. Funding from Zone 3 Traffic Impact Fees. <br />Commissioner Eggert inquired who is going to build that road <br />by Sebastian Lakes, and Director Davis stated it was his <br />understanding that when the commercial project to the east of <br />that road is approved, it will be a requirement of the developer <br />of that commercial tract to implement the Laconia Ave./Roseland <br />Road link in there. <br />Commissioner Eggert just wanted to be sure we will not get <br />some big assessment out of the blue other than the road impact <br />fees we pay, and Director Davis stated that is his understanding, <br />but we don't have control there; Sebastian has the control. <br />Commissioner Eggert felt maybe we should get some kind of <br />statement on that. <br />Commissioner Bird asked if we are satisfied with the design <br />and alignment proposed, and Director Davis advised that he has <br />84 <br />`"i ' Baas 72, r�n[ M <br />
