The Board agreed that is what they want, and if it doesn't <br />have the Budget Officer's signature, it doesn't go on the Agenda <br />-- as simple as that. <br />Commissioner Bird felt we should go ahead and accept the <br />quote from Radio Shack of Vero Beach, who have indicated that <br />they would meet the other price of $2857.44. <br />• <br />Chairman Scurlock believed what we need to do is waive the <br />bid procedure; allow the purchase of this piece of equipment for <br />the purchase price that is equal to the other; and proceed with <br />the one that has been ordered already from Radio Shack/Modern <br />Electronics in Sebastian, which can be used by the Solid Waste <br />Disposal District. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously waived the <br />bid procedure for this piece of equipment; accepted the <br />quote for the Tandy computer from Radio Shack of Vero <br />Beach for $2,857.44; and directed staff to proceed with <br />the computer that has already been purchased from Radio <br />Shack of Sebastian for use by the Solid Waste Disposal <br />District. <br />2.
