Attorney Balczun advised that the County Attorney has said <br />that there would not be a problem in reimbursing that portion of <br />the airlines ticket which is for federal excise tax. <br />Chairman Scurlock asked if we were going to place some time <br />limits in terms of replacing or filling that position, because he <br />did not want to approve a pay range and a salary without some <br />sort of specific time constraints. <br />Administrator Balczun advised that in the event this <br />position becomes vacant, this individual would remain as acting <br />director until such time as we are able to hire a full-time <br />replacement. <br />Chairman Scurlock asked about the appeal procedure in this <br />matter, and Administrator Balczun estimated that 30 days would be <br />a reasonable time period, but needed to check with the County <br />Attorney on the exact procedure. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously approved <br />staff's recommendation as set out in the above memo. <br />DNR SUBLEASE AGREEMENTS FOR NO. 11 CORPORATION PARK AND INDIAN <br />RIVER NORTH BEACH COMPLEX <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 6/1/88: <br />TO: The Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: William G. Collins 11 - Assistant County Attorney <br />DATE: June 1, 1988 <br />SUBJECT: Department of Natural Resources Sublease <br />Agreements for No. 11 Corporation Park and Indian <br />River North Beach Complex <br />Indian River County has been involved in a cooperative <br />effort with the State of Florida over the last several years <br />to acquire and develop beachfront property in the North <br />County area. Several parcels were acquired by the State <br />under the Save Our Coast program and several parcels were <br />acquired by Indian River County as our matching share of the <br />Save Our Coast program.
