I <br />.� irl <br />'JUN 8199 10 BOOK f <br />ae, Ocrchitect, inc, <br />INTRODUCTION <br />o <br />�o <br />The purpose of this feasibility study -is to determine whether the <br />Cn <br />W <br />W <br />Recreation Department should have the existing County.Jail Building <br />O <br />renovated, or demolished and a new building built on the existing site. <br />O <br />With the use of existing building drawings, site visits, programmatic <br />� <br />information from the Recreation Department and Information provided by <br />D <br />individuals mentioned below this office has come up with costs estimates <br />O <br />for the 2 following schemes: <br />1. Demolish all accessory building excluding the existing exercise <br />O <br />' <br />'building and renovate the interior, and exterior of the County Jail Building, <br />- <br />- <br />exercise building, upgrade the site landscaping, irrigation and lighting, <br />-, <br />new roof, etc. Tho renovated building area will be approximately <br />x <br />16,400 S.F. with a renovation cost estimated of $475,000.00. This <br />renovated construction cost breaks. down to approximately $29/S.F. <br />N <br />O <br />' <br />U <br />2. Demolish all on-site buildings and build a new 9450 S.F. Recreation <br />Department Building on the existing site for a estimated construction cost <br />< <br />of $508,000.00.
