Tuesday, June 21, 1988 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, June <br />21, 1988, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Gary C. Wheeler, <br />Vice Chairman; Richard N. Bird; and Margaret C. Bowman. Absent <br />were Don C. Scurlock, Jr., who was attending a utilities seminar, <br />and Carolyn K. Eggert, who was on vacation. Also present were <br />Charles P. Balczun, County Administrator; William C. Collins, <br />Assistant County Attorney; Joseph Baird, OMB Director; and <br />Barbara Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />The. Vice Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Reverend Thomas Harr of'Vero Beach Christian Alliance Church <br />gave the invocation, and Attorney Collins led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Commissioner Wheeler requested that Item 9-A-8, TPF>C Final <br />Payment, be postponed until next week's meeting, and also <br />requested that Item 14-B, Solid Waste Disposal District Meeting, <br />be postponed until next week since neither the Chairman nor Vice <br />Chairman of that District is in attendance today. <br />Administrator Balczun requested the addition of a discussion <br />regarding IRC Bid #409 and a discussion regarding no swimming <br />signs at Kiwanis-Hobart swim lake. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously (3-0, <br />Commissioners Eggert and Scurlock being absent). post- <br />poned and added the above items to today's Agenda. <br />gool< . .73 48 <br />
