MCCAIM r" <br />PROJECTS ENGINEER`-'`! <br />DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: SURVEY OF THE 13.46 ACRE LAND PARCEL <br />ADJOINING BENT PINE <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On January 26, 1988 the Indian River County Board of Commissioners <br />approved the purchase of the 13.46 acre parcel adjoining the Bent <br />Pine Utility site. To this end we wish to have a boundary survey done <br />prior to the execution of this purchase. <br />ANALYSIS• <br />On May 19, 1988 requests for bids were sent out to our short listed <br />firms for surveying. The bids were as follows: <br />1. Masteller, Moler and Reed, Inc. <br />Price: $700.00 <br />2. Carter Associates, Inc. <br />Price: $2,000.00 <br />3. Beindorf and Associates <br />Price: $2,800.00 <br />4. Marshall, McCully and Associates <br />Price: $2,800.00 <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />The Utilities staff recommends award of the aforementioned work to <br />the low bidder Masteller, Moler and Reed in the amount of $700.00. <br />This can be done by signing the attached contract.k as modified by Addendum. <br />33 <br />Boor 73 ,F 1216 <br />
