Approval of a revised site plan for build -out. of the <br />multi -family portion of the project was obtained May 12, 1988. <br />The Engineer is also requesting that the waiver cover the <br />remaining 4.4 acre single family area which will go through a <br />separate Planning & Zoning review as a platted subdivision <br />sometime in the future. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />Since the Indian River in this location is an estuarine <br />environment, and the project engineer has stated that all other <br />design requirements of Ordinance 87-12 will be met and that the <br />resulting rise of the water level in the river will be minute, <br />staff has no objection. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that a waiver to the flood displacement <br />requirement be granted to Grove Isle at Vero Beach. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bowman, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />granted a waiver from the flood displacement <br />requirements to Grove Isle at Vero Beach, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />DESIGNATION OF ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICERS AUTHORIZED TO ISSUE <br />CITATIONS <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 6/20/88: <br />TO: Charles Balczun DATE: June 20, 19 88 FILE: <br />County Administrator <br />SUBJECT: Agenda Item - Designation <br />of Animal Control Officers <br />authorized to issue citations <br />1\0 -ti <br />FROM: Doug Wright , Director REFERENCES: <br />Emergency Management Services <br />It is respectfully requested that the information herein presented <br />be given formal consideration by the Board of County Commission- <br />ers at its next regular meeting. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On June 14, 1988, the Indian River County Board of County Com- <br />missioners approved certain amendments to the Animal Control <br />Ordinance providing the authority for designated Animal Control <br />Officers to issue citations.
