i <br />Tuesday, July 19, 1988 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Special Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, <br />July 19, 1988, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Gary C. Wheeler, Vice Chairman; Richard <br />N. Bird; Margaret C. Bowman; and Carolyn K. Eggert. Also present <br />were Charles P. Balczun, County Administrator; Charles P. <br />Vitunac, Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; and <br />Virginia Hargreaves, Deputy C.lerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order and announced that <br />it was called for the purpose of awarding the bid for bridge <br />replacement on Kings Highway. <br />AWARD OF BID - KINGS HIGHWAY BRIDGE - PHASE I <br />The Board reviewed memo of Public Works Director Davis: <br />TO: Charles Balczun, <br />County Administrator <br />FROM: James W. Davis, P.E. <br />Public Works Director <br />7 <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bids - Kings Highway Bridge, Phase I <br />DATE: July 15, 1988 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Bids were received on July 13, 1988, for the replacement of the <br />Bridge on Kings Highway at the North Relief Canal. Bids were <br />received from two companies, copies of which are attached. <br />The bids are within a reasonable range of the Engineer's Estimate <br />of $252,460.28, which is also enclosed. <br />JUL 19 1988 BOOK 7 �r1Gi" <br />
